Near Term (When not talking birth): synonym for immediate.

Given that near term plans for company's are usually followed by a reference to time (i.e.. 6 to 12 months, which would be a usual near term plan for a business) this announcement could be anywhere from next week, "well before the end of the year" or next year. The lack of a time reference does leave it open.

However, the management would have to be nuts not to execute something in the next 60 days (even though legal definitions give them an out) as the weight on the share price would be colossal.

I bought more at $1.00 (as I said I would).

I would be crying in my soup if an opportunity arose to buy lower than this at the hands of another pump and dump!

I really can't see this so maybe we should sit back and be at least a little patient. This won't be days. This cannot be months.....
