Assuming the company will issue stock at 20 pence for the AIM listing, our local market would need to be at around 33¢ for equal value. Exciting times ahead for Lucapa as we open our door to a country with an appetite for investment in the precious gemstone market.
I think timing is everything, and when better to join the AIM when Gemfields is about to delist after a failed takeover attempt by China's Fosun, saw Gemfields major shareholder offer to buy out the remaining stock.
