hi crazy - telstra will not fix any blackspots or any part of the network if they dont have to. they sold the copper network because it will or has become redundant and they will be moving to small towers verses the large towers which now dot the landscape.
telstra will be using the satellite system now being built in california moving away from the 4g to 5g.
something the the telstra chief mentioned at the recent world mobile conference in shanghai was that telstra (indeed the world mobile company community) is intending to eliminate roaming charges making it possible to use your mobile as a normal local phone from anywhere on the planet and he announced that telstra is intending (as they all are) to also eliminate monthly charges. i believe the time frame for this is end 2018.
telstra and the rest also intend to make your phone your bank in direct competition with the normal banking system. i.e. your banked accounts and funds will be literally on your phone not in a building.
is telstra a buy? i think so
