I heard a talk. On the radio the other day , in Tiawan they are perfecting the aluminium battery , the comments by the engineer being interviewed said that while the aluminium battery works fine it has half the capacity of lithium, so it can be used for household storage but not suitable for the applications that lithium is used for , the battery for the same capacity would be twice the size as a lithium battery.. safe still with lithium.
