The sector for EV is heating up and Car Makers especially those outside of china need to seriously get on the front foot. Why?
Because strategically if they rely on a competitive and highly strategic nations to deliver lithium supply they may find themselves cornered. Especially if the Chinese are competing in the EV space themselves.
Same goes for the americans. I'm not sure if Albermarle would rely on the chinese for Lithium for their EV car market.
AT needs to consider diversification and business partners carefully!!
The few players in the lithium market may find themselves a target in the race for control.
