Not according to the words of Jesus - John 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself.
This life the Father had in himself is clearly shown in John 1:4 In him was life; and that life was the light of men.
And before your head starts heading off in the light area John 12:45 (Jesus) I am come a light into the world,,,,,,, Clearly not always or the light referenced to in John 1:9 as it is God that gives first breath to every man.
When or what do his words mean, "into the world" - example - John 17:18 As thou hath sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
