3.30 cash offer....no thanks gilbo, page-26

As I said before, $3.30 is not high enough for me, given my research. CSM is Gilbo's central plank-he wants it more than he's letting on. And if nobody sells it to him at his below-market price, then he doesn't get it at that price. It is as simple as that.
Baxter recently admitted to an expectation of manganese pricing to stay strong for "at least the next six months" (Open Briefing, July 17). What's the bet management will now shut up about manganese profits coming our way with Gilbo apparently back in the box seat (for now at least). I will guess NPAT for H1 alone will come in around $80M, compared to 06/07 FY result of ~$30M.
