I understand the thought process behind cashless welfare cards and it makes sense on the surface, however, I suspect people are going to find a way to get alcohol, be it by stealing or prostituting themselves or worse their kids...
plus using this card publicly announces that the person using it is on welfare, an idea I'm not entirely comfortably with due to the stigma attached to those who are unfortunate enough to find themselves in such circumstances
