    If your genesis model relies on precipitation of chemically dissolved gold from water I don't think it's the proximity to the source or the thickness of the beds that is important. The length of time the gold has to precipitate out of the water seems to be the important variable. What origin for the gold is Quinton relying on and what mechanism for emplacement? You can't have a theory without deciding on both these elements. Esh
