Thanks for the info - I didn't realise that about NRW being an underbidder previously.

My feeling would be Champ knows Goldings very well since they own it since 2008 and have tried to sell it a number of times having given up on listing it. JP may well know the company well, but as well as directors?

I'm sure you know this but PE firms are famous for trimming costs in an unsustainable manner and signing contracts before a sale that make no margins to boost the order book but end up killing future margins. As I said, I'll give JP credit for being conservative (it's the desire to get a deal done that stops buyers or people buying into an IPO listing from PE being appropriately skeptical).

Anyway, I agree that JP is not a fool and will know full well the risks and will have done his due diligence. Just saying it is a risk.

Anyway mate, I still feel it could be a good deal, but we need to be eyes open about the risks.
