In my opinion your statement contains two errors of fact

Never assume that because someone is a substantial holder they have any more clue about picking stocks than you or I or any other punter...In many cases, they have less of an idea

If you bought this stock at a higher price than where it is now, you have suffered a loss...period....It might be an unrealised loss, but it is a loss all the same. The fact that you cannot even sell your stock makes the loss twice as bad
