The reason for HK being an overbought market is because of China effect.. that retail investors from mainland have been swamping in in recent times. The difference being, foreigners have a much easier access to HK compared mainland, and as the result HK market can be short sold more frequently. A good training ground for Chinese newbie investors I think, they'll probably learn more about the risk compared to their peers who only trade in China!
