When I RI was announced I predicted the SP would fall to 10 cps.
McBnk benefit when the SP is at this level as they will accumulate more shares not taken up by small shareholders. I am not saying they engineered the SP collapse only that they benefit in my opinion.
The thresholds of share ownership needed to privatise CTP or any ASX company are onerous, 90% before compulsory acquisition is possible. There are unconventional dastardly ways of taking over a company at the expense of share holders but they are messy, protracted and CTP share holders have shown that they will fight. This tells me that a large % of shares will still have to be bought to complete a TO. This will be a sellers market. In anticipation, canny speculators will be buying at current levels and taking up the RI, after which profits will be there to be made.
