the explanation for the large fall in the SP is due to the pipeline of debt funded acquisitions being harder to do in future ie drying up of fees on prospective acquisitions.

This is too simplistic as I think that good deals with less leverage will be financed. at the moment a lot of US investment banks can't finance their most recent acquisitions with debts.

I have purchased some MBL on the open of friday. Hope that the SP starts to stabilise.
