I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I've only just had a quick read on the successful development of being able to recharge zinc air batteries. The AFR had an article which I wasn't able to read. I can't see it being an immediate threat to the lithium battery, however it has the attraction of lower cost (zinc) and maybe less weight. If they can translate to provide same functionality as the lithium battery, then maybe the lithium battery could go the way of the beta video. Thoughts anyone?
