I was leaning that way, but decided that a bad result in the SPP would not only be a bad look, but a potentially significant bunp in the road ahead. In the end, the combination of the potential of the Jinko tie-up (initiated by Jinko) and the manufacturing scale-up involving Australia (CSR/Viridian glass, and CSIRO), persuaded me to participate.
Also keep in mind that buying in the SPP means funds for the company. Buying on market may save a few bucks, but none of the proceeds will go to the company. You can also sell now and participate in the SPP if you don't want to increase your overall holding.
