You just made my day - 41 being young!!! That's not what my little (almost) 5yo tells me - "You're old Daddy, just like Papa!!".
One day, we should compare notes.
First hand, I've lived through (been involved in): 1) the 1987 crash (in a client work capacity - launching a bid for East End Market Company, at the time); 2) the 1990/1 recession (moved to Victoria, at the height of the collapse of SBV, Tricontintel, Pyramid, etc); 3) the 2001 dot-com crash (being a Director of 2 private companies at the time - one since exited, the other still going); 4) 9-11 (both as an investor in the market, and from a family grief perspective - coincidence of timing of loss of a baby, etc); 5) the telecoms meltdown (ongoing but now reversing); 6) the global savaging of who I work for on a global scale (since behind us); 7) a pioneer in and being a part of the VC industry during its most difficult and turbulent times (ongoing, since 2000).
