Don't get caught up in Aussie licences and ops, Canada is sympathetic and it still moves slow. In comparison, Australia will take a while to get their heads out of their asses.

Another thing is the access to export markets. Canada is nicely between the US and Europe, near a few countries with progressive cannabis policy. Australia, not so much, though if Asia embraces it we'll have many consumers nearby.

MMJ has subsidiaries in a few countries and fields (as part of the farm to pharma strategy). Most only focus on the Canada grow facility. I take comfort knowing that there's more going on and it's not all happening in one country, drops the risk factor a bit in terms of currency and not having all eggs in one basket.

You haven't missed the boat on mmj, but once sale licence is granted tickets will not be cheap.
