You are absolutely spot on.
Whilst there is a tonne of negative sentiment towards VOC at present, whose to say that there actually was interest or a bid/s of 3.50 on the table from one or both bidders??
Is it that hard to fathom that the board would not accept the 3.50 bid which was largely regarded as a "low ball offer" in the first place.
Do Remember that less than 12 months ago VOC SP was above $9 so wouldn't be that unrealistic that the 3.50 bid would be looked at by the board as a compelling offer or one to proceed with??
If the above scenario is the case, then the current SP represents exceedingly good value.
Yes, VOC has had it's fair share of problems and given its shareholders many sleepless nights in the last 12 months (including me!) .
Yes, their management team does seem like half a basket case
and Yes are there safer options on the market at present but......
They may not be the Dog (with flea's) that everyone thinks they are.
