I was upset at myself at first, as it was obvious that a CR was coming, but I was hoping when it came it came at a higher price with a lot more fanfare
However, after cooling down and remembering that I'm here for the long haul, I tend to agree with your line of thinking, to me the most likely scenario is that they were really really close with the MNK negotiations, but could not get over the line in time and hence had to get the cash now - who knows what the terms were anyway.
In any case, the picture will get clearer soon, as you said starting with the 29th then 30th
