Yeah, I get what you're saying, however...

The problem is that the BRTV "platform" isn't intellectual property but the "brand" is.

There's nothing unique about making a 'review video' or hosting a video in a repository online. What I'm saying is that there isn't any value in the platform. A competing company would only acquire them for their brand.

It's like being offered to buy the Youtube platform but not the Youtube brand or domain name. It would pretty much be worthless.

Pillar 1 doesn't add any fundamentals or value to the brand. It's just a sneaky way to create content and make $400 on something that likely cost almost next to nothing. As of today, the brand is worthless, yet the market cap is almost 1/4 billion dollars. It doesn't make sense.

If pillar 1 is flawed, or to put it a better way, successful for the wrong reasons, then the whole thing is doom to collapse or at best plateau. The goal shouldn't be to create content or built a platform. The goal should be to create a brand and have people come and create the content.

It just seems a strange way to set out a revenue model that focuses on short term goals rather than long term ones, which is traditionally the case with tech companies looking to go global. Why not just make everything free entirely? Why not just hire 1000 people to go out and film everything for free? Yes it would be mega expensive but wouldn't it all be worth it in the end? Just look at the amount of losses Uber has over the last few years. Also, when Youtube and Yelp came along they didn't asked for money to have people upload or create content.

As for the FaceBook video getting more hits then the Youtube, doesn't this just prove that the BRTV brand is worthless. That consumers are happy to just flick between platforms and stay with the brand that they feel most comfortable with. Are people here so delusional in thinking that the BRTV brand has chance at competing with these major players?

All you have is a company making a tiny profit from outsourcing something that is basically nothing but a fad while at the same time having a worthless brand in competition with well established global companies with billions of dollars at hand.

It's easy to see most people here are just looking to trade this for a quick profit and have little understanding of the fundamentals or the huge mountain this company has to climb in order to be successful long term.
