That's the second (and last) of your 'historical" events I've read, and both are so inaccurate they are not worth commenting on. If anyone is persuaded by those "fact" are check them for yourselves. And don't place too much credit on what this writer says.
Just one example. Interest rose to 18% in 1989, well after the '87 crash.
