I think this is more MT going back to his geology roots now that the company has sufficient money to do drilling and there is now enough tech staff to develop the graphene business.
Original business plan was just to sell the graphene, this changed to developing products as proof of concept
Now he has raised a lot of money back to normal resources game of drilling and mine development again.
It's not that long ago TLG nearly ran out of money and salaries were deferred until more capital was raised
