Reminds me a bit of Adam Smith in Wealth of Nations, back in the 19th century how specialization and trading relationships between specialists were the key to the rise of civilization as we know it, while all those who persisted and labored on the one stop shop mentality, spreading out their resources thinly languished as if they were still in the dark ages. I guess though if you're not good at maintaining relationships you have little choice but to play the whole game by yourself. otherwise do one thing. do one thing well.
