My issue with HotCopper is that holders who post here don't allow robust discussion around the pros and cons of a project and somehow see it as 'down ramping' when someone mentions valid concerns around its viability. If this is the case then there is tenfold more uninformed 'up ramping' that goes on which people allow as it validates their own investments, rightly or wrongly.

A word to the wise - institutional investors (read: those who have the largest effect on the SP) aren't getting their stock tips from HC. We should be allowing healthy discussion as it gives Mum-and-Pop investors a more rounded perspective on an investment. The minute this forum turns into an echo chamber for blind optimism is the minute people start developing negative sentiment towards a stock when it doesn't behave the way Joe Bloggs has been saying it will, more-so than someone correctly pointing out the challenges associated with moving a deposit from inferred through to reserve.
