    Hm means"heavy minerals".
    As regards mineral sands, HM comprises ilmenite, leucoxene (altered ilmenite), rutile,zircon, monazite,xenotine and various undesirables largely kyanite.
    The "undesireables" remain in the HM concentrate after spirals separation and typically comprise 15% of the HM.
