There is little or NO public housing , there is an incresing demand for housing , there is a decreasing supply of the land component and negative gearing is here to stay ..no matter who is in power .
If you wish to compare Japan to Australia , I suggest you visit Japan or at least look at the globe ! This is the most ridiculous comparison I have ever heard of !!
Hopefully prices may stablise ..but dont go wishing for a crash ..because It simply is NOT going to happen . No government policy is going to come along and drastically change the situation . We had the same discussion 5 years ago ..the answer is still the same .Its only some of the posters who have changed.
