better give the government side to make sure of a balanced arguement
The other protections provided to employees asked to sign a workplace agreement include:
. Having someone such as a spouse, friend or union official present when negotiating the agreement.
. Having seven days to decide whether to accept the agreement.
. Not being sacked for refusing to sign an agreement.
. For younger workers, requiring a responsible adult to co-sign the agreement.
The protection against being sacked applies only to existing employees and not new employees. Although employers with fewer than 100 employees cannot face an unfair dismissal claim, they can face legal action if they sack an employee for not signing an agreement.
roflmfao watso is just thinking about re entering the work force . just imagine watso, with his wife present, sitting in the office of an employer, NEGOTATING an agreement.
sure cannot be sacked for not signing an awa - but no doubt there are ways, to encourage a person to voluntarily leave
