    Metallica aims to be Australia's next bauxite producer
    Metallica Minerals Ltd (ASX:MLM) is preparing to provide an update regarding the proposed sale of one of its projects, with the ASX granting a trading halt to prepare.
    Metallica has a vision is to be producing 5-7 million tonnes per annum of bauxite over the coming 3 to 5 years.

    Besides its bauxite interests, the company's portfolio also includes nickel, cobalt and scandium at Sconi, along with a graphite and silica sands interest.
    The halt will remain in place until the opening of trade on Wednesday 6th September 2017, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.
