No it's true, I heard it on the Drum (ABC), industry needs skilled workers who have been skilled overseas.
The flipside of that, of course, what they really mean to say, is that capitalism doesn't like it when wages rise, or when workers demand shorter hours or better working conditions, so to keep a lid on wage claims they need to import workers for whatever types of jobs are at risk of wage demands.
