prices rose like they did because initially they were far far too low. now current good performance of aus economy have provided no reason for prices to pause or fall even though the prices are now too high. furthermore the recent emergence of perth market has kind of halted prices from steadying in the rest of australia. also state governments are not producing enough land, or if so the areas are too far from city with no public transport so no one wants to live there. thus land shortage and public transportation is another problem.
