    Err.. Tigs

STOP UNION MONOPOLY - and you solve the problem!

But I agree with you, it isn't okay to legislate against this kind of strike, or that kind of strike. This is usually after the fact, and by which stage, usually too late.

Not that capitalism is so fragile... mess with capitalism, and it'll be on the next plane out of Dallas, and in a few years, all organised labour will have, is the employment prospects of somewhere like Chad, or Kyrgyzstan¹. (You pick) and employment's worthless Industry super bosses.

So for instance:- By the time the British Trades Halls wiped the sleep out there eyes, all their once mighty jobs where well & truly ensconced in Japan, Korea & China, and all the Pommy worker where left with, where some angry , but fun, parades to Hyde Park & Piccadilly Square and a bitter hand-out from a bankrupt Empire. Leaving that poor & redundant Brit's worker's best hope, as A £10 trip to Bankstown.

Collective/organised labour is vital to the proper functioning & performance of a free market, but it like corporations ought be contained at its edges, where the concept FREE no longer exists. Corporations are bared from creating monopoly control, yet in the while ORGANISED labour is allowed to run the next biggest monopoly (rort) in the country, after government itself.

So sadly it has become necessarily important to try contain the beast, (labour monopoly) when it inevitably seeks to flex its muscles too zealously.

    Too late...

Bad management style by government, I'd agree.

Lacking, & ad hoc control, at best by government.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thus:- No single union ought be allowed to control a single trade. (In the first place.) Unions must be made to compete freely for the memberships/clientelle

Sadly this country is run by #ALPLite, so expect the toothless and failed status quo.

These necessary and gutsy interventions to guarantee a free & fair market, should have been implemented & enforced 5 prime minister-ships before Kevin Rudd!

Labour & Capital in an optimising (for both) free market environment MUST glove with each other.

    Fair ►► is fair.
