as far as im concerned india, whos population is set to overtake chinas in the years to come, due to the one child policy still in china, they'll be more competitors than partners in the future, particularly with anything concerned with energy. The two largest nations in the world, in a race to become the next 'developed' country....think about it. China is wanting to keep their own resources as future reserves and will be looking to Australia as an obvious choice as we can't possibly utilise anywhere near all of the resources we're digging up.
