Smaller family units higher increased living costs because of smaller family units is another factor you can look at also .
To pigeon hole a conservative view to one that does not look at the future is contrary to the view of conservative . It is by nature A look straight at the future and the present and takes a comparison view of debate . imo
Maybe something missing when taking a progressive view only is the two sides of debate ?
You see Howard introduced the family bonus for a reason im perhaps sure he also took his marriage view to take into account an aging population and where government funds in family payments and direction the country should take in addressing future problems in our country .
One of which im sure is not migration of gay marriage or gay people to Australia in addressing the economy and population growth .
Simply put it may seem .
It may seem conservative but thats when you bias yourself as it also looks after the current population regardless of gender !
ie it has the same equality of result .
A gay or whatever society would have no future population growth by reproduction and would suffer a well, lets say a society that would die out in one generation .
Something to think about that is both sides of the debate .
