who knows but good points and questions. i want to hear more about the outcomes of the 'comprehensive strategic and operational review', and the 'transformation plan' released on the 12th September.. the cost out aspect (jobs) was the only part released to the market but presumably there is more to the plan than that. the Adele Ferguson article in the smh on aug 31 reported Hayden Stephens as referring to a 'focussed business strategy.' The article also pointed to expanding the CA pipeline, PI in the eastern states, improving relationships with the unions, talent retention strategies. As to the hedge funds, i agree with you that their currently proposed long term control of the Australian business doesnt seem to align well with some of these aspirations. Will be interesting to see how things unfold.
