I once went to the Sydney Casino, for a work function.
Whilst I have seen poverty and slums in Asia, nothing moved me more in my life than seeing the unshaven, unkempt and desheveled people just standing there and fixated on the tables at the Sydney Casino.
For the first time in a casino, I expected to see people dressed in tuxedos but these people were like from a psychiatric hospital. Seriously. Full blown mental illness.
Of course, these people were not participating in the gambling. They had no money and were wearing 2nd hand clothing.
But they could not let it go.
Not playing the game but they could not let it go.
