If anyone feels they would like to save country dogs and cats from being killed in pounds, there is a great group of volunteers and donors at Rural Pound Aid. They assist in helping to relocate dogs and cats from country pounds, where they have historical been killed, to the more urban areas where the larger populations can adopt them.
