I'm glad to hear you are onto it, again apologise if I was too preachy or came across as lecturing you. I had perhaps mistaken some of your earlier posts as warning signs that you were falling into that old (and very deep) trap.

I do hate seeing people get themselves into stressful financial positions as it can affect health, relationships, everything. To be honest I see alot of that - friends & family dig a hole that takes 20yrs to dig yourself out of.

My philosophy was always hammer the mortgage as an investment priority and then played a bit more with shares once that was paid off.
