I'll accept the fruits of the spirit as forming part of the definition but love is way more. It's a sacrifice. Love is giving of yourself, not seeking for yourself. Love, the feelings we have, for a child is different to love for a wife. Thus why in the Greek language, there are numerous words to describe the different types of love. Reading the bible and taking every word as literal English translation and meaning has led everyone up the garden path; me included. Selective scriptural referencing will do the same. I have never found a definition of love, that is understandable, in the bible. Saying God is love Is meaningless for someone who doesn't know God.
