Senator Nick Zenophon gas pipeline NT to SA, page-8

In todays " Australian " Colin Barnett advocates constructing a " Nation Building " gas pipeline from north west Australia to Moomba existing gas facility. He reasons a connection between offshore fields W.A. and Mooomba is a long-term solution to east coast energy supply and security chaos. A connection with emerging supplies in N.T. as a part of the transnational pipeline would add another dimension to the solution. A N.T. pipeline to Mooomba would cost 1 to 1 and a half billion AU$ and Barnett says the W.A. to Moomba pipeline would cost 5 billion ; the N.T. connection sounds like smart strategy and finances.
