XJO was range bound for the last 6 months of 2000. Looks to me like sectors not aligning at the moment. Since 1 June, CBA and Telstra down vs miners up. Here's a comparison with ASX 200 (middle line):

Good eyes, MG. What's particularly fascinating about this present run is the monthly closes on the XJO:

May: 5725
June: 5721
July: 5721
August: 5714
Right now: 5725

Now that's what I call sideways.
