Everyone should know this sequence.

1 1 2 3 5 8 13 21 34 55 etc. That's the Fib sequence.

That 55 is close to 56 isn't it?

This bull market started in 1974 IMO.

No bear market has been worse here since.

Up until 1974 our market was growing at 4.5% pa.

Since 1974 our market has been growing at 9% pa.

Leaving aside the small Fib numbers here is what I see.

1974 + 8 = 1982.

1982 was a major bear market low.

1974 + 13 = 1987.

I have a feeling we had a bear market there too.

1974 + 21 = 1995.

Yep that was the end of a one year bear market here. In the US 1995 saw the market start climbing at a much faster rate.

1974 + 34 = 2008.

Suggests to me another bear market low.
