I understand options people are pissed but they really have no one but their own investment strategy to blame. Did they really think the discount access to more leverage came without inherently more risk than heads? That's like those people who say "invest in property, you can never lose." Well you can, it's called a recession.

I feel for you and your kids but it sounds like you are/were investing money you can't afford to lose. Not something you should do with any share let alone a spec stock.
