I got out 1 day tooearly as well.
No matter - BHP has historically fallen after reporting so the percentage play was definitely close longs before the profit.
So you missed out on a 5% gain - I mean, better than a potential 3% loss.
In any respects, I wouldn't not advocate shorting it with the current strength, and its break of 37.30. That would act as significant support (as it has done so in the past) and therefore would potentially limit the downside move.
It would have been a perfect play if it continually turned down from 37.30 during the day. I would have placed a large short at 37.30, but it is not far above it.
No point risking further potential upside.
