I asked for an answer as to why it is is a financially attractive option to leave properties empty.
You didn't answer that question.
I truly don't understand why people would do this, which therefore leads me to believe that the numbers being reported on this are unreliable. The loss of income more than offsets any advantage in leaving a property empty.
But you don't want to discuss that, do you? Just want to blame "these people" for something.
