IMO,
Announcing funding details and estimates is not classified as confidential information which a company does not want to release to reduce its competitive advantage

The market needs to know the costs- estimates before it embarks on human trials - phase 1 or 2 or 3 etc which can costs upwards of tens and tens of millions or more for the entire process..
