Well I'm not a geologist but given the proximity and similarity of the geological structures I wouldn't be ruling out a major gold find in the mandilla lease.
They are on different shears but the shears originate from the same general area up near the old spargo's reward mine and have similar characteristics, and mandilla is directly adjacent to the wattle damn find.
Interesting theory that the mandilla paleo source might be the wattle damn deposit but seems unlikely to me given how well the paleo aligns with the underlying geo structures in the mandilla area - it would seem more likely the source is a structure somewhere along that shear. The high grade gold encountered in the bedrock isn't transported.
The granite adjacent to the shear that mandilla is on is a different feature to the wattle damn shear.
As I understand it the demagnetised zones idenfied on the AAR survey are consistent with the wattle dam find being on demagnetised area of that shear so sounds like they are worth exploring.
Only further drilling along the area's identified will tell, but there's no doubt that the RMS find is a very valuable bonanza and surely improves the prospectivity of the area as a whole.
