Oraline is patented. And a lot of the excitement is due to not only oraline getting the first oral device FDA approval (and at least the short term competitive advantage in that) but ALSO it has significantly higher measurement sensitivity (esp for cannabis - the major drug of abuse) than its competitors. So a double whammy competitive advantage!
