While I admit that I am a novice at much in the O & G sector, I am at least smart enough to ask people that know about those things the questions that need to be asked.
I did and the answers I got about gas flares indicating if a gas well is going to be productive (high flow, reserves, etc) were pretty much all in agreement: the fact that there is a flare is basically meaningless without additional data.
To hype a well based on a pretty picture of a flare IMO is not a good strategy.
Now I could post some of the 10 email and message board replies to back up my case, but I doubt that would provide any more information that the hyper poster poster either.
