Its pretty hard to trade shares on the back of these drops (from a short term perspective anyway). The move down in the XJO gets factored in overnight so that when the market opens all the stocks gap open.
Throws a spanner in the works for trading stocks themselves. And, unless you trade the index overnight, you miss most of that move too.
